Hello this is my first post and I would be grateful for some advice please.
My name is Richard and I am presently restoring a 1968 series 2, 2+2.
I am at the interior trim stage and have found that I am missing the curved metal panels that run from the front of the rear wheel arch forward to the door post. These only appear to be fitted on 2+2’s.
They are no longer manufactured and I have been unsuccessful trying to find used ones.
There was a useful post on the forum back in 2014 but the photos do not appear to be available.
I would be grateful for any advice on how I might overcome this issue, maybe someone has a spare pair I could borrow to copy? Or has anyone else remodelled them?
Thanks
Richard

Email sent....iv trimmed these pans I had originals on my 2+2...thin metal covered with foam for shape...useing the vinyl trim as a idea of the shape you require it wouldnt be difficult to bend some panels...or form from cardboard and fibreglass over...a good layer of dense shaped foam on top....Steve

Thanks for your help Steve and for sending photos I will see how much it will cost to fabricate or my wife is keen on having a go moulding something out of fibreglass.
I will post some photos when done if they look ok!
Best wishes Richard
