Yes ........and the other thing is that you think you've got it cleaned off but it's still in all the crannies munching away! If the roads are dry with the salt visible as white you might get away with a short run, otherwise forget it 'til Spring !

Saw the orginal post and felt madly jealous. Yes there was a strange orange orb in the sky and the roads were drying. The E looked nice and cosey in its air chamber and the batterry trickle charger was on. I thought what the hell let's go for it. But something said no leave it and so I emptied the de-humidifier and shut the garage door. Seeing the photo of the short blast boy am I glad I didn't fire her up! happy New Year to you all.

Thanks guys! To be honest,I didn't think the roads were that bad...I did a 100 mile trip today and had made up my mind that I'd use the E. Luckily all 4 wheels are off so I had to take the modern. Glad I did as, despite the recent rain, I still had to wash the screen regularly to remove the salt. I guess I just need someone to confiscate my wheels!

I have been know to stop the car, open the door and taste the surface of the road before even considering taking out a classic
Sad I know
I took the Aero 8 out last year with just salt dust on the road and what with it being a modern car I thought take a chance.
Well a few months passed and I fished the car out of the garage only to see the paint on the nose cone had bubbled and blistered. I know ally is particularly bad for this anyhow.
gutted
