#1 Koolmat/floors

Post by Garrym » Wed Oct 02, 2013 7:39 pm

Have just received new carpets etc. Already have a Koolmat kit. Am wondering wether to glue the Koolmat fully on the floors or just along one edge. I am worried about water getting under the Koolmat.

Glue the Koolmat down properly and use silicon sealant along the edges as recommended by the Company. Basically you end up with a completely sealed set of floor pans and water will swish around on top making only the felt and carpets damp. If Koolmat is not properly stuck down it will be ineffective. You can leave its removal, if necessary, in 20 years time to the next keeper!
