#1 Window regulators

Post by drichards » Fri Jan 09, 2009 12:34 am

I am struggling to find replacement window regulators for my S1 3.8 OTS and so far have tried S&C and Barratts. Is there an alternative regulator I could fit?

I'd give Smiths a try:

RM & J Smith (original parts) - 01270 820885 rmjrmjsmith.fsnet.co.uk

I'd be surprised if they couldn't sort you out with an original in good condition.

I bought a new pair from Derek Watson a few years back. You could also try M&C Wilkinson or Hutsons. Although a used pair might appeal the originals did not wear well and they tend to jump gears when winding. The JDC 'All E-Type' spares day is coming up in February and I reckon you should find some there.

David,

must correct you (that'll be a first!) it is the JAGUAR ALL SPARES DAY organised by the E Type Register and NOT ALL E TYPE SPARES DAY.

I've not seen any publicity yet for this spares event - where and when is it?

To paraphrase Eric Morecombe - I had all the right words, but not necessarily in the right order :D
