Hello,

My first gear was bloody noisy, after checking we found a pinion in bad shape :

I don't think we can get the right parts with our well known suppliers as SNG Barratt, could you help me to find new ones...

Warm regards

The Moss box is not rare as it was used on a lot of cars so parts are plentiful. SC Parts (Limora) advertise a 1st gear at ?1,049  but the best place I can find for spare parts is JB Sports Engineering - http://www.jb-engineering.co.uk/ - who can also convert your Moss box into an all synchro version with new gear sets. Others to try are Ken Jenkins and Richard Smith. More info on the Moss box here: viewtopic.php?t=2006&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=60

I have a Moss box that I will happily pull apart and sell a gear from, especially if I can get one grand each time. :D

Unfortunatly, it appears new parts are all with straight pinions...not as the original one as shown here :

Louis,

If it helps, I've got a whole 4 speed all syncro gearbox in excellent condition that I took out to put a 5 speed in that you can have for less than the cost of 1 SC gear!
