Hello Friends
If I turn the slow running screws anti-clock do I increase the air flow into the carbs and thus weaken the mixture. So then I need to adjust the mixture screws to compensate.

Hi Keith...the manual says...move slow running screws till hiss in the intake is similar on all intakes....then adjust all mixture screws by equal amounts untill fastest idling speed achived....consistant with even firing....see manual page C.9....Steve

Hi Keith,
As steve told you, follows precisely the manual page C8 and C9.
You'll save time, your engine and your nerves...
It's important to disconect the carbs and set up them one after one.
Also important to balance them at last.

The slow running screws have no effect on mixture strength whatsoever . Anticlockwise increase the flow ( as you imply ) and vice versa . The jet setting, and therefore the mixture, is exclusively controlled by the jet screw which is the small one at the outboard lower end of each carburetter
