I hope I'm posting this question in the correct forum...please forgive me if it isn't.
Are there photos on this site or elsewhere that show the sequence of assembly for an E-type?
I've looked for ages and can only find the odd few.
A lot of information can be gleaned from examining these factory photos in detail.

No, just the odd production line photos and all of those are in the latest edition of Philip Porters 'E-Type definitive History' book. We do have a period film of a Factory visit in 1961 showing how the XK engine was assembled:
