Hello
I'm happy to find this very popular forum. I've grown up working on British and American cars. My British cars have been MGTC's 1945 and 1947, a 1952 TD Mark II, 1960 MGA 1600, 1959 Austin Healey 3000 Mk I, 1959 Frogeye Sprite, a couple Mark II Sprites, Jaguar E-Type OTS #1E12477,
and lots of Galaxies, Fairlanes and Mustangs. The best of the Mustangs was a 1965 GT Fastback. All sold or traded and gone now.
My current car is a 3.8L Series I FHC, #890650. This car was bought new by my Mother in 1964. She drove it until 2001 when it became mine. At the time of this writing, I am in the reassembly process after a complete disassembly, which is a lot of fun. I restored the sub assemblies as I removed them, so now it's a fairly tidy business putting things back together, and oh thank God for digital cameras and the internet!
Thank you in advance for your patience and help.

Martin welcome to the forum.
Lots of help, advice and friendly humour on here.
To have a one family car is great news and we'll enjoy seeing photos of your work to bring the car back to roadworthy condition.
Indeed original photos from when your mother bought the car to compare will be good to see, too.
I'm sure some of our Americans will point you to useful clubs (JCNA?) who can help with loan of specialist tools, plus there'll be other suppliers of items here in the UK and elsewhere people will happily point you towards.

Welcome to the party, Martin. This is a really good group. Please keep us informed of your progress. I've owned two Series One coupes (1E30036/1E32208), but am currently Jaguar-less. Still, these guys tolerate having me around. Looking forward to your posts.
