#1 anyone seen this and know anything about it?
seems a rare find, would be interested in the history if anyone knows it.

The worst of all world's
A OBL car with 8,000 miles on the clock and someone decides it needs a "total restoration" to make it desirable. Now just another clone, and why the hell do people keep banging on about "flat floors" - they are not rare but they are a pain to drive! What is really rare is an OBL with dished floors.
I think it is reasonable for us to start listing the faults we can see from the photos ....................

I did a few hours of pottering around in Dave Kerr's flat floor and it was fine for my size 13s. Reminded me of the flat floor Ds I've driven good mileages. Had a decent little drive in a 2+2 today along Rock Creek Parkway. Now there's a comfy model...

The problem for me is the flat floors seat doesn't go back as far.
That white car is wasted if it was truly an 8000 mile car.

I sold my flat floor several years ago and could never really drive it satisfactorily. I deliberately sought out a mid 62 car for the bulkhead recess and dished floors. Anyway, I would like to know the history on the OBL . I would seriously doubt that mileage. I mean who buys a car like that and doesn't use it and why have the collective fraternity not known about it?

MUT 5:
"This astonishing E-Type had spent all of its life in warm and dry climates until repatriated by DK and totally restored, returning the car to the condition in which it left the factory in July 1961."
Wrong front sidelight lenses
Wrong lens screws
Poor quality repro spinners
Bonnet and door gaps look wrong
Bonnet hinges painted body colour
Wrong HT lead conduit
Wrong plug caps
Stainless steel exhaust
All bolts/nuts should be black
Radial ply tyres
Wrong coil
Wrong colour header tank support bracket
Jubilee clips instead of Cheney clips
Parts should be cadmium plated, not zinc
Plenum looks to be later type
Left rear over-rider at an angle
Number plate characters should be 3 1/2"
Wrong bonnet - does not have welded in louvres
Wrong wiper blades
Ten exterior photos, two engine, two interior - not good enough at the level this car will sell for.

OUCH, I thought the gaps looked bad but didn't bother analysing the rest of the car. So do we think it's number 73 then?Heuer wrote:MUT 5:

A few more pictures and I could, no doubt, have found a lot more. Just hope whoever buys it has a very good appraisal!
