#1 MOT Checker

Post by Simon P » Sun Jan 10, 2016 3:38 pm

Anyone else seen this?

I'm a bit in two minds as to whether this is a good thing or not. On the one hand it gives you immediate detailed access to a car's actual history (not just what the owner or dealer might have you believe), on the other hand, from the owner's point of view, arguably only the comments and remarks on the latest MOT are relevant.

I've just checked my other car.
Interestingly, it gives the history for both that car and my previous one interspaced. They both had the same make and registration.

They seemed to have changed it, previously you had to enter the v5 number before you could see any MOT history.
handy for when your looking to buy, but not very confidential is it.

What a fantastic resource. Stuff the fact that my own car is up there with all its warts and wrinkles, failures and evidently poor service history. So is the next second hand car I might buy, and that is important.

Shame the history only goes back ten years.

Looks great to me. Put my car in, and it shows a good clean record!
