#1 Series 2 console material

Post by bobbayers » Thu May 26, 2016 2:24 am

Does anyone have a pic of the series 2 console, or info on material. The S1 is metal and the S3 is molded plastic, and supposedly the S2 is wood but I can't confirm

I belive the centre console is made of steel with a plate on top covered in leather. If you take off this plate the centre console is like any other s1.

Robert,

om my S2 its made of what seems to be copper, lined on the outside with black vinyl of a certain grainy texture.

There is a piece of wood ply between the copper plated steel panel and the shrink fit vinyl.

Are you asking about the center of the dash or are you asking about the tunnel console?

I was referring to the tunnel console. I could pull it off and figure it out but thought someone might already know
