#1 Driving for a purpose

Post by chrisfell » Fri Oct 28, 2016 11:15 am

Excuse me!
I turned to see where the voice had come from. A lady of a certain age who was about to drive a white BMW X5 away was tryig to get my attention.
Would you mind if I took a photo of your car for my grandson.
Why of couse not. Please take as many as you like.

Back at the car a little later.....
Excuse me!
I looked round to see a large chap in his forties, wearing combats and a fleece striding towards me.
I'd just like to say how good it is to see a classic being driven and not squirrelled away. Classics like yours should be driven.

Two people now feel better, and all I did was drive to Tesco to do the weekly shop.

Only two people feeling better? Does that mean you didn't?
So you only drive the car for the benefit of others, Chris
Such a damn fine fellow :yellow:

I consider it a worthy sacrifice, to endure the privations and discomfort of driving a highly polished bags of nails E-Type with MX5 seats and a moderately throaty exhaust, just for the enjoyment of others.
