#1 Kelsey Hayes component

Post by patteian » Mon Nov 14, 2016 9:34 pm

First time posting to the forum with a picture.

I have almost completed the rebuild of my Kelsey Hayes unit using Mike Cassidy's fantastic articles. I had noticed when I disassembled the unit that the Baffle for the air filter parts catalogue number 8747/VBO.10019 was missing but did not start looking for the part until I put the filter back in during the finishing stages of the rebuild.

Does anyone have a source for this part? I have tried a few brake specialists and the usual suppliers.

I think that all this is is a little spring clip that stops the sintered filter sliding out. You could probably make up something to replace it or even glue the filter in place.

I don't have a KH to look at at the moment but one should be arriving in a few weeks on my new toy.

The part you are looking is the spring clip that holds the sintered filter in place, I got one is a spares kit I got from JEM in Hinckley years ago.
You could Google JEM and see if they have one, I think I bought one of the very last repair kits they had.
