#1 Series 1coupe

Post by Cookie » Sat Dec 24, 2016 8:02 pm

Looking for valuation advice.
Series 1coupe full nut and bolt rebuild. Not matching numbers and converted to RHD.
Can anyone give me a ball park valuation ?
This is a professional rebuild.
Thanks for and advice. New to this forum.
Edward.

Afraid it is name your price. Anything from say £75k to well over the £200k have been advertised for a series 1 fhc in nut and bolt restoration condition. Of course advertised price is not sold price... Is it a 3.8 or 4.2. The 4.2 seem to be a tad more

Worth surfing the web and researching recent auction sales too as rough guides.....all depends on how well it has been done really....Eagle will probably relieve your wallet of £400k or more for some of their bespoke restorations

As a guide my older restoration and very far from perfect 3.8 FHC was valued by the JDC valuer for insurance at £90k but is an original UK matching numbers car. Doubt it would sell for £90k but who knows....

No problem...Happy Christmas. If your car is a fresh restore and you need an insurance valuation then do get an independent expert to give a realistic valuation for insurance purposes. The JDC and others offer a valuation service...

Lastly, and there are several other threads on here , e types are very popular with car thieves. Please please fit security devices such as fuel pump switch, removable steering wheel, definitely a tracker and please be mindful of security both at home and when out and about. Don't leave it unattended in public car parks over night. Having restored your car do not let some scum bag steal it as has happened to others on here....enjoy your car
