Hi Rob Gill here,
I am getting a loss of power when engine has been running for about 5 miles it feels like a missfire.
Any thoughts or suggestions?

Hi Rob....appart from all the usual ignition checks make sure that both fuel pumps are working....it will run on one but as you speed up you get short on fuel if both are nit working....gets hard to find if one is intermitant.. Steve

My hot-only misfire was cured by adding/replacing oil in the carb dampers. When the car got hot the pistons for the needles would open too quickly under acceleration. Idled ok.

Usually associated with heat which instigates a vicious case of events. Search misfire or running hot on this forum.
Even the distributer cap and rotor arm can leak when hot and cause misfire. Had it. HT leads can be porous. If you have the Lucas OPUS then it's probably expired with heat and the HT coil. Alternative are out there but may require you to exchange your distributer. The Strombergs may be running weak or temperature control valves making the mixture weak when hot.
