Hi Slips,

I have sprayed my hood frame with paint sourced from SNG Barratt.
Part number is CH2006.
BS 631 is a powder coating I think.

Good luck !

Thanks for reply i did manage to match the paint at a paint shop my friend owns. he sprayed it using this code JUC21A,if anyone needed it, its the gray /olive color, it matched the bolts i had left with the paint on them
just got to put it back together, and take car to mick at MCT for new hood, trying to get car ready to go the classic,

Thanks

Is anyone able to confirm the correct paint code for the hood frame? The searches for BS361 have come back as Light Stone which is definitely wrong. I think this code is referring to the BS381 colour chart so the full code would be BS381 361. It might possibly have been a typo as BS381 631 is a light grey, but it is slightly too dark. JUC21A is even darker still, although it's hard to confirm just from a screen. I would like to have it powder coated so the SNG part no doesn't help.

Thanks,
Chris

BS381C is the British Standard for paint colours established in 1930 and used up until it was superseded by BS4800 in the 1970's. Suggest you consider BS381C-694 'Dove Grey' because it has a tint of green and also a good match to the stone guard frame, radiator tie bars, brake/clutch bracket and the four small brackets supporting the flexible brake hoses also on the car. Ken Verity concurs. I used CJ Areosols (buy two ?9.99 cans as they waive the ?10 shipping fee for a single can Confused ) cellulose 90% gloss but your powder coater will be able to get it.

BS381C-633 is excellent for the Girling shock absorbers and Metallifacture jack.

Thanks David. That's perfect as the refurb/conversion of my Metallifacture jack with a new jack shoe is also on my To-Do list!
