#1 Good painter in the southeast

Post by Ikebaddog » Thu Aug 24, 2017 6:48 pm

Evening chaps, just discovered that the paint on my tailgate is as soft as .... well, something that's soft, just dragged a cloth over it and moved the paint!!!
Anyway, I knew it needed painting, my query is, who should I use, preferably in Kent???
Cheers, and have a lovely evening everyone!

Can't really help as we've recently moved, but what I would say is, don't be restricted by area. A paint job will mean parting with your car for some time, so it maybe doesn't matter that much where the painter is. More important is getting the right job done. Obviously, if that right person is on your doorstep, even better!

I had some parts painted by Spellbound Cars in Farnham, Surrey. Very good job. Also saw some cars in their workshop in final stages of restoration, very good paintwork indeed.

There is a guy in my yard nr Horsham West Sussex - http://www.panel2paint.co.uk/ . He does top quality work on some very high-end cars. Pete Adams is his name. I do my own painting and I'm pretty good at it but I don't do it professionally, but I know a quality job when I see one, and I have no hesitation in recommending this guy.
I might add that I see him working all the time as I work out of the same yard, so I know how thorough his preparation is - no corners cut with him.

I've been a customer of E Type UK for 7 years and am very pleased with their work and to recommend them. They had a change of ownership a while ago and continue to be a great team under the new management.

Well, many thanks for the recommendation Hugo, picked up the car from Peter at Panel2paint today, very pleased with the result. In fact I'm over the moon with it, great service, and at a good price, will be using him for more paintwork without a doubt.... Thanks once again
