#1 Fitting front wheel bearings

Post by Jeremy » Sat Mar 03, 2018 6:56 pm

Grateful for some advice on this pls. (Couldn't find answers in the manual)...
1. Which way round does the oil seal go? I assume it should be pressed onto the shoulder round the root of the stub axle so the conical lead of the soft part helps it onto the shoulder?

2. Water thrower: I assume this is pressed on to the hub this way?

3. After loading the bearings with grease, should I then fill the entire volume around the stub inside the hub with grease?

Thanks in advance for the help. I've read up on the matter of tightening so should be OK with that....

Hi Jeremy....yes the thrower goes on as shown....the oil seal fits the way around that you have it but it should be pressed into the rear of the hub...then the whole unit pushed onto the stub axle......i dont completely fill the hub with grease about a 1/3 should be ok......Steve
