#1 Converting MK10 carbs for E type

I have just noticed that the triple HD carbs that came in a box with the engine are from a MK10.

Is it a DIY task to convert to choke type and can anyone who has done this in the past comment. Burlen/SU can do this but it is very expensive.

The parts you need are expensive if you convert to true E-type spec in every regard. Is your manifold MkX as well?

Surprised nobody bought mine on an E-type manifold for 1000 at Stoneleigh even though one of three needs converting and all need a refurb. A full refurb by someone like David Wotsisname is about 1500 depending what you need.
